Our client in power generation needed an application that can allow for better understanding of market, weather and plant operations for planning market bidding.
BKO created the forecasting tool which lets you use week-ahead forecasted weather conditions to make ercot bids using the cctwin simulator, letting you finetune the inputs for the week in a spreadsheet like interface, then will produce and email an excel file containing 168 hours of bidding results or submit the results directly to a market API.
Result created an increased monetary profit as opposed to periods where application was not available.
